Tile is unforgiving. Lippage, a grout line that drifts, a cut piece landing in the sightline at eye level — those are the things you notice every single morning. Getting them right is planning, not luck.
Before anything gets set, we dry-lay the layout and decide where the full tiles fall, where the cuts hide, and how the pattern resolves at every corner and transition. Then we set it.
What's included
The scope, spelled out before you sign anything
Waterproofed tile showers
Custom pans, niches sized to your bottles, benches, curbless entries, and glass-ready walls set dead plumb so a frameless door actually fits.
Large-format and slab-look tile
Big panels need flat substrate and back-buttering. We flatten the wall or floor first, because large format punishes anything less.
Zellige, handmade and mosaic
Irregular handmade tile has its own rules for spacing and grout. Beautiful when it's respected, a mess when it isn't.
Herringbone, chevron and pattern layouts
Pattern work is layout work. We center it to the room's real focal point rather than to whichever wall happened to be framed first.
Heated tile floors
Electric radiant mat or cable under tile with a programmable thermostat — the upgrade nobody regrets in a Colorado bathroom.
Backsplashes and feature walls
Kitchen backsplashes, fireplace surrounds, mudroom and entry walls, with outlets and edges detailed so nothing looks like an afterthought.
Typical timeline
A backsplash is usually 1–2 days. A full custom shower with waterproofing and cure time typically runs 5–9 working days.

Tile pricing is driven by material, pattern complexity and prep. Small handmade tile in a herringbone runs very differently than 12x24 in a straight stack — we'll walk you through the tradeoffs before you buy anything.

Free consultation
We walk the space together, talk through what's bothering you and what you're hoping for, and I tell you honestly what's realistic — including when the answer is a smaller project than you expected.

Written estimate
You get an itemized estimate covering scope, materials, allowances and a target schedule. No verbal numbers, no vague lump sums, no pressure to sign on the spot.

Selections and planning
We lock in tile, fixtures and finishes, check lead times, and set a start date that accounts for material delivery instead of hoping for the best.
- 04
Build
Floors protected, dust contained, work area cleaned at the end of each day. You get a running update on where we are and what's next — you'll never have to ask what's happening in your own house.
- 05
Walkthrough
We go through the finished space together and build a punch list. Nothing is considered complete until you've seen it and signed off.
Can you tile over my existing tile?
Sometimes, on floors with sound substrate. In wet areas we almost always recommend against it, because you inherit whatever waterproofing failure is hiding underneath.
How do you keep grout lines consistent?
Layout lines, leveling systems on large format, and a dry run before setting. Consistency is decided before the thinset comes out.
What grout do you recommend?
Usually a high-performance cementitious grout with a quality sealer for most areas, and epoxy where stain resistance really matters. We'll match it to the tile and the room.
